Saratoga Springs sits on the west shore of Utah Lake. A marina or lakeside park walk at golden hour is the local version of the Utah Lake State Park sunset, without driving to Provo. Bring a layer. The wind comes off the water.
A neighborhood park picnic
Harvest-area and lakeside parks make an easy weeknight picnic if you live on the west side. Pack food, name the park, and keep it to an hour. A homemade lunch still reads as effort.

Thanksgiving Point as a second move
If you both want the gardens or a museum, use it. Just say which building and which time. Ashton Gardens, the Museum of Ancient Life, and the Butterfly Biosphere are different dates.
How to plan a west-side date
The west side of the lake is spread out. Name the city, the park or plaza, and the time. "Saratoga marina walk Friday at 6:45, I will bring drinks" is an easy yes. "Want to hang out in Saratoga?" is a 20-minute drive with no destination.
If you are coming from Provo or Orem, build in drive time and pick one stop, not a tour of every new subdivision. Keep first dates public and short. Save a full Thanksgiving Point day for later.
