Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions about Rove, plan-first dating, and how the product works, answered.
General Questions
Rove is a plan-first dating app. Men post specific date plans happening soon, and women browse the dates they would actually want to join.
Rove starts with the date itself:
- Real date plans: men lead with an actual activity, time, place, and vibe.
- Women browse what sounds fun: the plan becomes the opener instead of another vague message.
- Timing matters: plans are tied to tonight, tomorrow, or this week.
- $1/week for everyone: a small commitment helps keep the community real.
- Offline-first by design: every connection starts closer to a real-world date.
Rove is ideal for:
- Singles who are tired of endless swiping and low-effort openers
- People who want a clearer path to a real date
- Anyone who likes the idea of men making plans and women choosing from real options
- People looking for more intentional, real-world connection
Rove is $1/week for everyone. That small subscription helps reduce fake accounts and keeps the community focused on people who actually want to meet.
Rove is currently iOS-only. Download the app to see availability and the latest date-plan activity in your area.
Features & How It Works
Men create a real date plan with an activity, time, place, and vibe. The point is to lead with effort and clarity instead of another vague opener.
Women browse nearby date plans by timing, activity, and distance. If a plan sounds fun, they can request it and move the interaction toward a real date.
Once a request is accepted, chat opens with the key details already set.
- The purpose is clear: both people already know what they are meeting for.
- The timing is clear: the date is tied to a real window, not a vague future idea.
- The app supports follow-through: reporting, blocking, and moderation remain available.
The $1/week subscription is intentionally low. It helps reduce bots, discourage lurkers, and create a small commitment from everyone using the app.
Rove is currently iOS-only. Apple Sign-In helps support verification and a more controlled user experience.
Safety & Privacy
All users sign in with Apple ID. Rove also supports reporting and moderation so unsafe or inaccurate behavior can be reviewed.
