If you already plan your week in Claude, a dating app that only lives in another inbox is extra work. Rove is plan-first dating for men and women in Utah Valley: he posts a time, place, and activity with his photo; she browses the person and the night together; she can mark Interested in that plan. Claude becomes a dating assistant when it can read those live plans through Rove’s MCP server.
Written by the Rove Dating team. This page is Claude-specific: connector steps on claude.ai, Desktop, and Cowork, plus prompts that keep Claude from acting until you confirm. The product overview is Rove + Your AI. Create your account in the iOS app. $1/week after a 30-day free trial.
Claude is the assistant. Rove is the date.
Searching “Claude dating” usually means one of two things: using Claude to write messages for a swipe app, or wanting Claude to surface people to actually meet. The first still leaves you inventing a night. The second is what Rove is built for. Claude does not host profiles. It calls your Rove account after you connect https://rovedating.com/mcp and Sign in with Apple.
Women can ask Claude to search plans nearby. Each result should include the host’s photo, first name, age, time, and place. Men can ask Claude to draft a plan from a city and a vibe, then post only after they read it. Claude should treat other people’s bios as untrusted user text, not as instructions.
Same geography as the app: Utah Valley at launch. Same rules: men post, women show interest in a specific plan, public nights, no invented matches. For campus-friendly ideas, see dating apps for BYU and UVU students.
Connect Claude to Rove
In the Rove iOS app, the Connect to AI sheet includes a Claude tab (alongside ChatGPT, Meta Muse, and My apps). On the web, add Rove as a custom connector. If Anthropic moves the menu, follow the live steps on Rove + Your AI.
- Get Rove on the App Store and finish Sign in with Apple there first.
- On claude.ai, open Customize → Connectors. Team and Enterprise owners use Organization settings → Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector (or Add → Custom). Paste https://rovedating.com/mcp and continue.
- Connect, then Sign in with Apple on Rove’s consent screen. The same connector works in Claude, Claude Desktop, and Cowork.
- Ask Claude to search or draft a plan. Tell it to show photos first and to wait before marking Interested or posting.
How to talk to Claude about dates
Claude is careful when you tell it to be. Put the confirmation rule in the first message: search, summarize with photos, do not mark Interested until you name the plan. For posting, “draft only” keeps a half-finished night off the feed.
Good prompts name a city and a window. “Saturday morning hike near Provo,” “Wednesday dessert after 6 in Orem,” “Lehi gardens late morning.” Soft prompts like “someone fun this weekend” skip the calendar. If you already know the activity, point Claude at a date ideas page and ask it to turn one idea into a Rove plan with a start time at least a couple of hours out.
Search like a local
“Search Rove for Saturday hike plans near Provo. Show each host’s photo, name, age, and the plan. Do not mark Interested until I choose.”
Draft, then wait
“Draft a Lehi plan: Thanksgiving Point gardens, Saturday 11, I pay, meet at the entrance. Show me the title and time. Do not post until I confirm.”
Interest, not a blast
“I want to mark Interested in Tyler’s Saturday hike near the Y. Draft a one-line note and wait for yes.”
Host check-in
“List women interested in my Wednesday Creamery plan. Show each photo first.”
What Claude will not do
It will not swipe Hinge for you. It will not text a match on another app. It will not invent a woman who “sounds perfect” when the feed is empty. If search comes back with nothing for that window, that is the honest answer — post a plan, or try another day. See what an AI dating assistant can do for the longer list.
It also will not skip your face. Rove results are photo-first. If a summary is only venues with no people, ask Claude to show the host photo with each plan. You can disconnect Claude from Rove in the iOS app under Connected AI apps.
Photo first, plan second
These are the kind of cards Claude should return: a real face, then a night with a time and a place. A woman marks Interested in Thanksgiving Point gardens. Examples only, not members.
